I hope you are all enjoying the mid-term break and taking some time to read your library books. When you return to school next week leave a review of the book you have read on Orla’s beautiful Autumn wall display.

Summer reading

July 13th, 2017 by Ms. Considine

I hope you are all enjoying your summer reading. Tell your parents about the books, tell your brothers and sisters about them. Read them aloud to younger brothers and sisters. In the new school year tell us about the new words you have learned from your reading. We look forward to reading your book reviews.

February Book Reviews

February 27th, 2017 by Ms Byrne

Please read three of our book reviews – all these books are in our school library!!

Fantastic Mr. Fox – by Roald Dahl
This book is about three farmers called Boggis, Bunce, and Bean. They don’t like to share but Mr. Fox tries to get their animals. I enjoyed this book because it was so funny and good but also a little bit sad. I would recommend this book for 3rd and 4th class.
By Paul Oladele

Pippa Morgan’s Diary – Love and chicken Nuggets – by Annie Kelsey
This book is about a girl called Pippa Morgan. It is set on Valentine’s Day. She is trying to find her mam a date for Valentine’s Day.
I enjoyed this book because it was really funny. I would recommend this book for 3rd, 4th 5th and 6th class. It is a really good book – I hope you read it.
By Ciara Doran

Diary of a Wimpy Kid – by Jeff Kinney
This book is about a kid named Greg who shows us the way his life is going with his family and at school with all his teachers and school bullies. I enjoyed this book because it is funny and very weird. I recommend this book for all classes.

Sara Rajewska gave 10/10 to Michael Morpurgo’s The Nine Lives of Montezuma. She said it was a sad but very good book.

How Kirsty Jenkins Stole the Elephant by Elen Caldecott is a book about teamwork and was recommended by Lolly Salu.
