Healthy Lifestyle Fortnight

October 25th, 2016 by Ms Wynne

Healthy Lifestyle fortnight in Talbot Senior was great fun. The children enjoyed healthy fruit kebabs and healthy fruit smoothies. Ms Skelly’s class made soup for a whole class for 2.31 euro, have a look at their shopping list. They also did an interesting project on actual sugar content of common foods. The poster competition winners “What a Healthy Lifestyle Means to Me” will be announced at our November assembly. Have a sneak preview of one of our creative entries. Our new running track and improved field surface are well on their way to completion.

Dublin 1-15 to Mayo 1-14

Dublin retain the Sam Maguire for the first time since 1977 with a 1-15 to 1-14 replay win over Mayo.

Well done to the Dublin team and their manager Jim Gavin and of course hard luck to Mayo. Thanks to both teams for the amazing entertainment.
