We have been very busy in Ms. Gallagher’s 4th class sowing and growing spinach, cress and peas. We grew them in our classroom until they were strong enough to move outside.
We watered them regularly and made sure they had enough sunlight. We really enjoyed watching them grow!

On Tuesday 24th we will have our whole school Standardised English Tests and on June 1st and 2nd we will have our Standardised Maths Tests.
On Tuesday 24th 7 children will attend an open training session in the Aviva Stadium with the Irish soccer panel. Thanks to Sr.Catherine for organising this event.
On May 28th the Garda Annual Open Day will take place in Clondalkin Village. This should be a fun day out.

On Tuesday 10th of May, students from our Enrichment Club with Sr Catherine, Mr. Byrne and Mr. Stuart went to Google offices on Barrow street in Dublin city centre.
In Google, we were accompanied by Georgina and Andrew who work there. We were first given proper name tags so we wouldn’t get lost! Next, we headed to a conference room where we talked about the history of Google, had a quiz and talked new projects that they are working on, like driver-less cars and wifi balloons!
After that we went on the tour where we got to see really cool places like the play ground, quiet thinking rooms, chill areas, offices, gaming rooms, the hyperlink (which is a bridge which connects three buildings together), mini kitchens, a swimming pool, a gym, a spa area and there’s a doctor too! Google office’s don’t look like a work place – it looked like a play place!
Overall we had lots of fun and learned lots of interesting facts. We learned to work there you have to be able to work in teams, be hard working and smart, and having lots of other non-school interests and pastimes is really important too.

As part of our 5th class Bi Gnóthach Business Project we had to put together a business diary which contains photos and writing explaining the various stages of our business. The Business Diary will be on display in the County Library Tallaght from the end of May.
We have learnt a lot about running a business over the past few months and watch out for us in the future. We’ll be back with more business ideas!!!
