To celebrate Christmas in Talbot Senior National School we had some festive fun. On Friday 18th our school choir visited Xilinx to sing carols. On Monday 21st Ms Ní Dhuill’s class performed a Nativity Play and all classes took part in Christmas Carol singing. Wishing all our students and their families a very Happy Christmas.

Great, exciting news: The Student Council is hoping to create a Student Newspaper—one just for Talbot.
We want YOUR IDEAS—what would you like to read or see in it?
AND What can YOU do to help?
Here are some ideas from the Student Council so far—can you help?
- A sports section—Gaelic, or Soccer, or…?
- A comic strip
- An entertainment section
- A small section re the school
- Green Team news
- Student Council news
- Weather Forecast
- Star of the Week in each class
- A Poll of the Week
- R.I.P. — People Passed Away
- A Letters’ Page–where YOUR letters to the newspaper get published for all to read
- Teachers’ News section
- Puzzles or Quizzes—easy and hard ones
Now, if you have any ideas, please tell one of the Newspaper Managers:
- Claudia in Mr Bannon’s 6th class (THE EDITOR of the newspaper–The BOSS)
- Scott in Mr Bannon’s 6th class
- Alex in Ms Ward’s 5th class
- Lily-Mae in Ms Ward’s 5th class
- Piotr in Ms Ní Dhuill’s 4th class
- Thomas in Ms Nallen’s 3rd class
This will take a lot of work. Tell one of these six if you would like to help. The first newspaper might be in February.

This year as part of “The Bi Gnothach Primary Schools Enterprise”, Mr Coleman’s 5th class have decided to set up a mini company. We hope you support the hard work and enthusiasm we have put into this task. We are selling Emoji Christmas cards at the Bazarr this Friday or over the next few days as when they’re gone-they’re gone. Price’s: 1 card only 75 cent or 2 cards for €1.
50% of profits will be donated to charity. Please support.
