Talbot Senior National School

Our 6th class Enrichment Club had their last group meeting on Thursday 26th March. Over the past few weeks we; designed shock absorbers, completed brain challenges, created Scratch computer coding, made super aerodynamic paper airplanes and did lots of other cool and interesting activities!

Ms Walsh and Mr Byrne would like to thank all those who took part for their time and efforts. In June we will be going on an educational trip to a large company to see first hand how a big business operates!

Comhghairdeas chuig na pháistí go léir a bhuaigh duaiseanna i gComórtas Scríbh Leabhar. Comhghairdeas chuig Ms Ní Dhúill a chuir an tionscnamh ar siúil sa scoil agus chomhghairdeas chuig na mhuinteoirí go léir a mhuin na pháistí conas is féidir leabhar a scriobh as ghaeilge.

Bhí ócaid iontach ag na pháistí i DWEC. Bhí Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh ann ag tabhairt bonn deas do ghach pháiste a bhuaigh duais. Féach ar na ghriangrafanna álainn!

Bhí an spraoí againn go léir  i rith Seachtain na Gaeilge. Bhi céili mór againn ar an hAoine. Bhain na ranganna go léir an taitneamh as na hamhrain, na dánta agus na damhsaí. Bhi Mr Carty fear an tí iontach. Bhí an dath glas le fheiceáil ar fud na háite, hataí, breagfholt, t-léine agus maisiucháin La Fhéile Phadraig.

This award recognises the excellent use of technology in our school.

Our Book Fair will arrive on Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, March 5th, it’s WORLD BOOK DAY, and children and family members can come in and look at the books and other items for sale in the Book Fair. You can buy books and items on Friday, Monday and Tuesday. It is a great chance to get books at good prices and I have €1.50 book tokens for every child in the school. And remember, 60% of all money spent comes back to the school in free books. We’re always updating our library with new books, for your reading pleasure.

We are running a competition also for our book fair : Just write a short review of a book you have read recently, and there will be a FREE BOOK VOUCHER for 5 winners (one winner from 3rd/4th/5th/6th and one overall winner).
