On November 12th, we held our Intel Mini Scientist exhibition in the school hall. Pupil’s from Mr. Bannon’s and Ms. Ní Fhlatharta’s class demonstrated their experiments for a judge from Intel. Children from the other classes came to look at the projects and also, some parents came in. Well done to all involved and best of luck to the winning group, who will go on to represent the school at the finals in Intel next month.

Alan Silver from Dublin Bus came to speak to our 6th classes about safety at Halloween. The Gardaí, Dublin Fire Brigade and DSPCA also spoke to the children. It was a great talk, and the children benefited greatly from it.

We had a special visitor to the school on Friday 11th October. Jim Gavin, the Dublin manager and local Round Tower G.A.A. clubman, visited the school with Sam Maguire. Johnny Cooper, Dublin player, was with him also. Jim spoke to the children about hard work and achieving their goals in life. Our boys and girls school teams had their pictures taken with the cup. Both teams played in Cumann na mBunscoil leagues. We had a great day, as Ms. Madden sang Dublin songs, along with Mr. O’Donnell on guitar!
